The FPS 420M-NC is a robust CNC universal milling and drilling machine built in Germany for shops that need reliable CNC capability in a compact footprint. It is available with your choice of two proven controls — Siemens SINUMERIK 840D sl or Heidenhain TNC 620 FS — so your programmers can work in the system they already know.
A two-speed gearbox delivers an impressive 251 lb-ft of spindle torque, giving the machine the strength to take heavy cuts in steel and tough alloys, while speeds up to 4,500 rpm cover efficient finishing work. Hydraulic tool clamping on the ISO 40 spindle keeps tool changes fast, and handwheels on every axis let operators set up and machine manually whenever it is quicker than writing a program.
The ±90° manually swiveling head and an additional 5.9 in of head travel along the Y-axis open up angled and complex features in a single setup.
